Welcome to the Melbourne Astronomical Society website. We meet on the 4th Friday of the month at the Florida Tech Physical Sciences Building at 6:30 pm in the 1st Floor, Room 407 (south from the elevator on the west side). Our goal is to foster awareness, education, and interest in astronomy in Melbourne and surrounding communities. We'll have occasional star parties, and coordinate many of our outreach efforts with the Brevard Astronomical Society. For more information about the MAS, please email President Peter Scheuter .

We coordinate our meetings to be just before the Florida Tech Astronomy & Astrophysics Public Lecture Series & Public Viewing sessions, which are held on the 4th Friday of the month during the academic year (Aug-Oct, Jan-Apr). For more information, email Daniel Batcheldor.
